Our most popular and versatile product, 1/4" screened 'Aurora Gold' is a dark soil comprised of an equal blend of locally sourced and composted manure, composted organic matter and a small amount of course sand. 'Aurora Gold' is Top-Soil-FREE giving it the greatest opportunity to be  Weed-Seed-Free,  unlike any other Soil product on the market.  

It provides excellent Ph levels for all plant growth and excels as a soil enhancer, particularily in amending clay based soils.  

A must for the creation of NEW GARDENS or to top-up existing beds of flowers, trees and shrubs.  It can also be successfully used to top dress lawns at 1/2” inch and is recommended to be used in place of 'Grass Grower' for those who have sandy soils.

  • Enhanced Water Retention - With an exceptional ability to hold moisture, more than 9 times it's weight, both traditional gardens and raised beds will benefit.   • Improved Soil Structure - The fibrous nature of coconut coir adds lightness and porosity enhancing aeration and drainage. Slower to breakdown than traditional amendments such as peat moss, it will not require replacement as frequently.

Grass Grower - Lawn Top Dressing

A 1/4" screened weedless mix comprised of a 60% proprietary composted manure blend and 40% coarse sand. This has been a very successful mix for golf courses, playing fields and lawn repair alike. The compost aids rapid seed germination and the sand helps with soil amendment to allow for improved drainage.  

Time of Year to over seed: SPRING (April, May), FALL (September, October)

CAUTION – whenever over seeding, newly sprouted seeds could die if they encounter a HEAVY FROST.

How much top dressing do I need? 1 cubic yard of top dressing will cover 750’ square feet at ½” inch.
